Springboard Creative makes its home in an old silent movie theatre.
The Vox Theatre opened in 1922 as the Rosedale Theatre. With the advent of “talkies”
the name was changed to Vox (Latin for voice). It served as a neighborhood theatre
until the 1950s. After that, the building housed a sheet metal company and later a
vintage car collection.
In 2009, Alistair Tutton of Alistair Tutton Photography purchased the building and easily convinced Kevin Fullerton to join in the adventure. Building renovation began in February of that year and both firms moved in on April 6th.
The space includes a balcony with arched openings, a red velvet stage curtain surrounded by stage lighting, an 18-foot ceiling fan, an incredible kitchen, a trap door and even a few hidden rooms underneath the stage.
Drop in. You’ll find us in the balcony.
